McCain and Electoral Vote

Two part post today.

Maybe I’m in the minority here, but I happen to think that McCain’s move of suspending his campaign and flying back to Washington to deal with the financial crisis at the heart of the nation is both sensible and modest. He’s also shown Barack Obama to be incapable of being bi-partisan in anyway.
A short suspension of the campaign to allow both sides to work together to overcome this critical issue (chiefly knocking the administration’s heads together until they come up with a plan that isn’t “give us money and total control over the expenditure”) would be excellent, showing that both candidates would put the country first, ahead of party. But then we know that the Democrats don’t like their country.

Is it just me or is suffering from the familiar liberal derangement against McCain? As far as I can see this only extends to the analysis, not the electoral map and the polls, but I wouldn’t be suprised to see some dirty work come up later.
